About the Book
This is the true story of a young Scottish soldier stranded in France during WW2 and sent to a Prisoner-of-War camp.Just like all Jean Gill projects, I worked with images she provided and some stock images for anything else she wanted but couldn’t provide. I love working with Jean because she’s a photographer as well as an author.Creating a Jean Gill book cover is truly a collaborative effort and we feed off each other’s ideas. I’ve now done make-overs for all her books, and I’m looking forward to her writing a new one so that I can work on it! I advise that 4.5 Years be snapped up with her other WW2 book, Faithful through Hard Times: The uncensored story of WW2 Malta.

Author’s Testimonial
“I wanted a creative partner, who could work with me on an impossible range of genres (18 books in 8 genres) to create a recognizable brand and covers that I love. I wanted somebody who understood what I wanted, even when I didn’t, and who also had the guts to tell me when I was wrong. Working with Jessica and her team is my reward for having written a book. She is an expert at what she does and takes risks if you want her to. She responds immediately when you contact her, keeps to deadlines, charges very reasonable prices for what she offers clients. Judge for yourself—you can see all my books at jeangill.com.”
